Dreambeans is a new app from Google that connects to your Gmail, Calendar, Photos, Messages, YouTube, and Search history to generate daily personalized stories based on what’s going on in your life.

How Google’s new “Dreambeans” app works
Dreambeans gathers data from your Google accounts to find events and activities going on in your life, then AI generates some watercolour-illustrated ‘news stories’ to give you more details. To address privacy concerns, Google says you can choose which accounts and data sources to connect. The choices you make in Dreambeans do not affect your Personal Intelligence settings in other products, such as Gemini Apps or AI Mode.
Gozde Oznur, a Product Manager at Google Labs, shared an example to show how it works. Say you get a Gmail confirmation that your puppy’s treats have arrived. Dreambeans might pick up you’ve recently discussed buying a dog, and find some training tips for you. If you have a Google Calendar reminder about a friend visiting soon, the app could suggest dog-friendly restaurants nearby.
If its suggestion isn’t quite right, you can give feedback to improve Google’s future recommendations. If Dreambeans misses something important, like a new hobby, you can let it know, and your future stories will reflect that.
Dreambeans needs at least one connected Google app to work, but it apparently works best if you connect them all. You can choose which apps to link to personalize your stories. To connect an app, pick it from the settings and approve access. If you want to stop using data from an app, you can disconnect it anytime in the settings. When you do, Dreambeans will stop using new data from that app and remove any related content from your stories.
Dreambeans is launching today for eligible Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. who are 18 or older, on both Android and iOS. To use it, you need an active Google One AI Premium Plan, which gives you Gemini Advanced features for a monthly fee, and you must meet the age requirement. If you are not a subscriber, you can join the waitlist on the website with your personal Google account and be one of the first to try Dreambeans.
